The quantum swap gate is one of the most useful gates for quantum computation. Two-qubit entanglement and a controlled-NOT quantum gate in a neutral Rydberg atom system have been achieved in recent experiments. It is therefore very interesting to propose a scheme here for swapping a quantum state between two trapped neutral atoms via the Rydberg blockade mechanism. The atoms interact with a sequence of laser pulses without individual addressing. The errors of the swap gate due to imprecision of pulse length, finite Rydberg interaction, and atomic spontaneous emission are discussed. 相似文献

We propose a technique to precisely measure the line width of the photoassociation spectra of the excited cesium molecule by using a frequency shifter to generate two laser beams with a precise frequency difference. A series of photoassociation (PA) spectra are recorded with two laser beam induced molecular lines, whose peak separation serves as an accurate frequency ruler to measure the line width of the PA spectra. The full width half maximum line width was studied as a function of PA laser intensity. The extrapolated value at zero laser intensity is (34.84 ± 0.22) MHz. By analyzing other broadening mechanisms, a value of (32.02 ± 0.70) MHz was deduced. It is shown that this scheme is inexpensive, simple, robust, and is promising for applications in a variety of other atomic species. 相似文献

The band structures of a new two-dimensional triangle-shaped array geometry of 4340 steel cylinders of square cross section in an epoxy resin were studied by the plane-wave expansion and supercell calculation method. The band gaps of this type of phononic crystals with different defects were calculated such as defect-free, 60 crystal linear defect states, 120 crystal linear defect states, and 180 crystal linear defect states. It was found that the band gap will emerge in different linear defects of the phononic crystals and the bandwidth of linear defect states is larger than that of the free-defect crystal by about 2.14 times within the filling fraction F = 0.1-0.85. In addition, the influence of the filling fraction on the relative width of the minimum band gap is discussed. 相似文献

A “folklore conjecture, probably due to Tutte” (as described in [P.D. Seymour, Sums of circuits, in: Graph Theory and Related Topics (Proc. Conf., Univ. Waterloo, 1977), Academic Press, 1979, pp. 341-355]) asserts that every bridgeless cubic graph can be embedded on a surface of its own genus in such a way that the face boundaries are cycles of the graph. Sporadic counterexamples to this conjecture have been known since the late 1970s. In this paper we consider closed 2-cell embeddings of graphs and show that certain (cubic) graphs (of any fixed genus) have closed 2-cell embedding only in surfaces whose genus is very large (proportional to the order of these graphs), thus providing a plethora of strong counterexamples to the above conjecture. In this article, to solve the modified equal width wave (MEW) equation, the homotopy analysis method (HAM) is proposed. The initial approximation can be freely chosen with possible unknown constant, which can be determined by using the boundary and initial conditions. The HAM contains the auxiliary parameter ?, which provides us to adjust and control the convergence region of solution series with a simple way. Three conservative quantities are reported. Important progress has been made in the passivation of Ge/gate dielectric interfaces. One important approach is by thermally oxidized GeO2 interface and ALD high-k layers, with an interface state density Dit ∼ 2 × 1011 cm−2 eV−1. Another approach is with an epi-Si/SiO2 interface, resulting in similar Dit. Hysteresis and Vth shift, however, are still not optimal. A two-dimensional analytical subthreshold behavior model for junctionless dual-material cylindrical surrounding- gate (JLDMCSG) metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs) is proposed. It is derived by solving the two-dimensional Poisson's equation in two continuous cylindrical regions with any simplifying assumption. Using this analytical model, the subthreshold characteristics of JLDMCSG MOSFETs are investigated in terms of channel electro- static potential, horizontal electric field, and subthreshold current. Compared to junctionless single-material cylindrical surrounding-gate MOSFETs, JLDMCSG MOSFETs can effectively suppress short-channel effects and simultaneously im- prove carrier transport efficiency. It is found that the subthreshold current of JLDMCSG MOSFETs can be significantly reduced by adopting both a thin oxide and thin silicon channel. The accuracy of the analytical model is verified by its good agreement with the three-dimensional numerical simulator ISE TCAD. 相似文献
